Leona Lewis has been very hit or miss since her debut album Spirit, and her most recent effort Glassheart basically flopped even though I thought it was her best album. She's just not commercially successful anymore but that's not stopping her from releasing a Christmas album which is somewhere I think she could really shine. Her upcoming album Christmas, With Love will drop on November 24th and it'll be Motown influenced which should be an interesting twist and direction for the X Factor singer. The first single is 'One More Sleep' and leaked online today. It's a very strong song especially being in competition with Kelly Clarkson's 'Underneath the Tree', but Leona does her own thing and I love it. In the chorus, Leona counts down the days until Christmas and it's got that signature Christmas choir and tinkly production in the background that makes it sound classic yet current. It's a shame Leona has been forgotten about since she's such a great artist and vocalist, but I'm hoping this Christmas album will just give me more magic to listen to.
