Beyoncé basically eclipsed everything that happened today (and, well, everything this year) by dropping her new album BEYONCÉ last night on iTunes and instantly selling over 80,000 copies in just 3 hours. Basically she is the only thing being talked about, but let's not forget that Lorde just delivered a new song. In an odd move considering she released an album just a couple months ago, Lorde dropped a brand new single 'No Better'. The song is much more upbeat like her previous releases 'Tennis Court' and 'Team'. Lorde uses her light yet guttural vocals on this track laid over the trip-pop ballad sound that she has cleverly crafted with her album Pure Heroine. Along with her poetic lyrics this song makes for one of the most welcome surprises on the week. My brain has literally been pinging last night since Bey's sneak attack.
