'Problem' by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea
We've got a summer smash on our hands, ya'll! While Ariana Grande has always been one of those artists I just unconditionally hate like Demi Lovato or Jason Derülo, every once in a while they drop a single that is a certifiable smash and I can't help but blast it. Ariana's got me in a tizzy with her new single.
'Problem' is the debut single from Ariana's upcoming follow-up to 2013's Yours Truly, and she's going for a more modern take this time as opposed to the '90s Motown of 'The Way' or 'Baby I'. Ariana may have one more problem, but it sure isn't securing a number one hit with this massive tune.
The pre-chorus is really where things blaze as Ariana belts her Mariah notes and shows off her powerful voice, and then the beat drops out and Big Sean sexily whispers before the chorus takes over. Then, the reigning rap queen coming off the high of releasing her debut album The New Classic last week, Iggy Azalea spits out a flaw-free rap before the sexy saxophone comes back in and Ariana finishes off the track in a blazing glory.
I've got to give her props, 'Problem' is one hell of a tune. If she releases more like this she may just win me over. When you like a song, you just gotta give up your inhibitions.
