Ariana Grande isn't playing around. I may not like her, but kicking off her new album with lead single 'Problem' is the best career decision she's made. The song is hot and it's snatching weaves and breaking records. And now with the video she's upgrading her schoolgirl innocent image Britney Spears style.

The video for 'Problem' was released moments ago and it's scorching. Ariana pulled a 180 and went for a '70s vibe with the video with the girls sporting the skirt and boot look with big bouffants and psychedelic patterns bombarding the eyes. The video also takes cues from her live performances of the song as her and Iggy are donned in black and white, Iggy particularly stealing the show.

Is it just me, or did Ariana consult the Holy Spearit when she was coming up with the creative direction for the video? For one, Ariana is laying on top of a circular pedestal as it rotates and a camera films her from above. Hello, 'Oops!...I Did It Again' video!! And then Ariana is clad in leather, giving her an edgier and sexy look. Oh, what's that you say? Britney did the exact same thing in the 'Oops' video.

Whether or not Ariana consciously decided to channel Britney in her video remains to be seen, but the similarities are striking. That being said, Ariana has me hook, line and sinker. She's edgy, she's a ball of energy, and this music is on fiyah. I could get used to this.
