'Eye of the Needle' by Sia

The pop song-writer to end all careers, Sia Furler, is gearing up for the release of her new album 1000 Forms of Fear, and after swinging from the chandelier a few too many times she's giving us another taste of what is sure to be one of the best albums of the year. Based on the title of the album, this new one is giving us another intimate look into the dark mind of this blonde-bobbed songstress.

Following the massive 'Chandelier', I didn't know if anything could compare. However, I was a fool to doubt Sia. 'Eye of the Needle' begins with a subtle marching beat and piano driven melody, but then it hits the upswing and Sia begins her signature "woah-oh-oh-oh" belting.

As with any Sia track, it packs an emotional punch, tearing up your insides and leaving you in a state flux. But with this one Sia gives us, and herself, some great advice: “Step and repeat / Tears fall to the beat / Smile through the pain.” The bridge is particularly powerful as she screams out. How is it possible for Sia to break me so?

Sia's brand new album 1000 Forms of Fear is due to be released on July 8th.
