'Anything Goes' by Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga

Tony Bennett is the leading jazz singer of our time, having a career spanning decades and accumulating many accolades. His reign is supreme, but for his newer work he's enlisting the talent of one of the biggest pop stars of our time: Lady Gaga. Anyone who's a true Gaga fan knows she's got a set of pipes on her, and her first holiday special saw her singing jazz which is one of her strongest points.

Tony Bennett's upcoming album Cheek to Cheek saw a myriad of delays, but it's finally set to be released in September. The album is a collaborative effort with Gaga, comprising of duets, solo songs by each singer, as well as some original songs that the two wrote together. From standards to contemporary jazz pieces, this album is shaping up to be quite incredible.

The first taste we're getting from the album is the track 'Anything Goes' which comes from the popular musical of the same name. Gaga starts off the track with her gorgeous voice before she trades off with Tony. After some playful back and forth the two come together for a sweetness unlike you've heard before, then a long instrumental break swoops in before the two crooners launch into a punch of an ending.

Gaga's talents have always lain in a more refined sound, not the extravagant mess she gave us for ARTPOP so it's going to be incredible watching her blossom in this new era. And maybe the general public will see her for her true talent for once.

Cheek to Cheek is due out later this fall.
