'Lighthouse' by G.R.L.
After the tragic loss of singer Simone Battle four months ago, the Robin Antin-created girl group G.R.L. are soldiering on. They had a big year in 2014 with their hit 'Ugly Heart', but the pressure of fame got to Simone. The girls are back to honor her memory the best way they can.
G.R.L. released their new single 'Lighthouse' today and it's a gorgeous Dr. Luke and Cirkut-produced power ballad. The song is all about friendship and how there are always people there for you if you're feeling lost with nowhere else to turn.
"When the night gets cold and the lights go out / The sun is gone behind the clouds, and you feel lost and I'll reach out to guide you home with my lighthouse," the girls pledge. It's a beautiful, tear-inducing track that could not honor Simone any better.

The accompanying video is a tribute to Simone with pictures of her throughout her life filling the screen. In addition to all this, the girls have partnered with the Give An Hour organization that seeks to raise awareness about mental health in the U.S. as well as provide resources for anyone who may need it.
We will never forget you, Simone.
