'Sparks' by Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff had a rough year in 2014 as she tried returning to music and failed to have her two singles gain any traction. 'Chasing the Sun' and 'All About You' were cute bops but not what we were looking for. She put everything on hold after her new TV show Younger began filming (which is actually a great new show), but she's finally poised to dominate.

'Sparks' is the new single from Hilary's upcoming album which is finally complete. The track is the theme song for her show Younger, and it's everything that we didn't get from this former Disney star the first time around.

Written and produced by Tove Lo, Bloodshy and Peter Thomas, 'Sparks' is the perfect '90s throwback jam. Over a glitzy pumping beat she sings, "Turn down the lights down low and kiss me under the dark / Cause when you're touching me, baby, I see sparks." Cue infectious whistle. This is a summer hit if I ever heard one.
