Kelis, most widely known for her hit single 'Milkshake', is gearing up to release her sixth studio album, and we  now have the first single 'Distance'. Following the success of her last album 'Flesh Tone,' which was a dance album rather than her signature urban sound, Kelis is again going the dance route. 'Distance' is already one of my favorite Kelis songs and I've only listened to it twice. The beat is pure perfection. It's this big, dark, and fast-paced groove that when layered with Kelis' smoky vocals makes it an epic piece of dance music. No matter what the trend is in music, Kelis always puts a twist on it and makes it her own, making sure she stands out from the crowd at all times. 'Distance' is giving me very high hopes for her upcoming album, and I can not wait for another dance album.
