Alaska Thunderfuck was one of the break-out stars of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 5. She had a tough time because her boyfriend Sharon Needles had won the prior season and Alaska had auditioned for every season but never made it on. But when she made it on the show she won over America's hearts and was easily one of the favorites of the season. She came in second to Jinkx Monsoon, but her final challenge was easily the best. Alaska has released music in the past like 'Hooker Shoes' and 'Trannies Are Fierce', but post-Drag Race she has finally released her first song aptly titled 'Ru Girl'. It's totally not what you would expect (or maybe you did) as she crafts her first ever rap track. I think the song is one of the best a queen has ever released because it's so much fun and so clever. As you would think, the song is all about being a Ru girl and how she has this bond with the other queens that will never be broken. The bridge of the song is quite something as Alaska goes through all five seasons and lists the queens in the order they were eliminated! Memorable moments are when she gets to Shangela for the second time, and for Jinkx she simply refers to her as "some other bitch." There's a lot of clever word play going on, and I could not be more proud of Alaska. The song is available exclusively on Amazon a week early. The video for the song drops next week.
