Kelis has been hard at work over the past few years training as a chef and working on her sixth studio album. With the release of lead single 'Jerk Ribs', the 'Milkshake'-singer once again redefined her sound to something more jazzy and with a lot more soul. Even though her new album is not due out until April 22nd, Food leaked last month and I've given it a few spins. It's another strong effort from Kelis. But with that aside, Kelis just released the video for her second single.

'Rumble' captures more of the overall vibe of Food than 'Jerk Ribs' does with its jazzy melody and Kelis' raspy vocals trilling along. It's a laid back jam which encapsulates the heart and soul the 'Bossy'-songstress is putting out there. The video for the song is highly unexpected from the woman who has made some iconic videos in the past. As the song begins playing, Kelis carries an ornate upholstered chair into the middle of a lake, sits down, and remains there. She sings as her band comes into the lake, fishes, and plays their instruments in canoes. That's literally all that happens, but it's so odd that I think it's brilliant. In her pink bow and plastic fishing boots, Kelis has no fucks to give yet she owns every bit of it. Very quiche.
